This grand turn-of-the-century home was built for Dr. Joseph Arthur who named it Beild House (a Scottish word for shelter). Each of the guest rooms features its own unique decor, a gentle blending of antique furnishings with modern amenities. Dr. Arthur's original office has been refurbished into a comfortable 3 room suite. All rooms have either king or queen size canopy beds and our deluxe rooms have fireplaces and televisions. Our spacious living room, warmed by two fireplaces, presents a wonderful opportunity to sample tempting hors d’oeuvres and to relax after an enjoyable day’s activities.

The public services that municipalities deliver affect us every day. In this economic climate when municipalities are cash strapped because of long standing under funding and downloading of responsibilities, it is imperative that Collingwood has a council that defends good jobs and a decent standard of living for all.

Rick Lloyd for Deputy Mayor
Long time Collingwood Councilor Rick Lloyd wants to come back to the Council table and play a meaningful role in returning stable, team-oriented and common sense government to Collingwood.
A familiar face to Collingwood municipal politics is looking to return to the Council table. Twenty year council veteran Rick Lloyd was first elected to Collingwood Council in 1985. The local businessman and recent President of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce has been away from municipal politics for the past term. Watching the current council struggle badly with important decisions has compelled him to ask for your vote to elect him to the position of Deputy Mayor.
Rick Lloyd is concerned about what he calls the Town's "runaway debt" that has grown from $23.8 million three years ago to approximately $50 million today. "We have to be much more aware of how much debt the Collingwood taxpayers can take on and spend wisely."

Kevin Lloyd - Now's the Time
I'm running for a seat on council because I believe " Now's the time " to elect members who apply a combination of research and common sense to decision making. Plus, give their citizens a stronger voice in those decisions.
With forty years experience in business, I can promise you: I am decisive; fiscally responsible; use a high degree of common sense; gather the facts and have a reputation for being a good listener.
